Office policy is to verify your insurance information prior to your appointment. However, it is patient’s responsibility to ensure insurance is active on the day of consultation and subsequent visits.
Initial consultation includes oral exam, dental x-ray, and thorough question/answer with the doctor. Please make sure to bring BOTH medical and dental insurance information since oral surgery procedures can be either medical or dental in nature. A dentist’s referral letter is strongly preferred. Most of the routine procedures may be performed at the same visit if requested. However, other procedures e.g. impacted wisdom teeth, general anesthesia/ IV sedation, orthodontic tooth exposure, and apicoectomy may need to have prior authorization depends on your insurance policy.
