Howard C. Chi, DDS

Dr. Chi immigrated to New York during his teenage year, and spent most of his time growing up in Queens, New York City.

He graduated from Francis Lewis High School with Regents honor diploma, and was accepted to New York University College of Art and Science.He received double bachelor's art degrees in biochemistry and computer Science in 1999.He advanced his career to New York University College of Dentistry with scholarship and graduated with Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) degree in 2005. He was top 5% of his class and was elected as a member of national dental honor society OKU.

Dr. Chi then started his specialty residency as an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon at St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center affiliated with Seton Hall University Graduate Medical Education in New Jersey. He served as the chief resident of oral and maxillofacial surgery department in 2009. After graduated from residency, Dr. Chi became board certified in 2011 by American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

Dr. Chi's passion lies in dental alveolar surgeries (dental extraction and jaw bone related surgery), dental implants and office sedation. He is known for his kindness and patience towards everyone he treated because he understands dental visits can be nerve wracking and even traumatic to many people. He takes his time with his patients and to make sure every procedure/visit is performed as comfortable and painless as possible. He is also fluent in speaking and writing both English and Chinese, and thus a tremendous help and asset to local Asian community. He currently divides his time between New Jersey and New York office.

Dr. Chi is actively involved in the medical and dental community. He currently serves as an attending physician at Flushing Hospital Medical Center in Flushing Queens. He helps train general practice dental residents in the fields of extraction, facial infection and dental implants. Dr. Chi also participates in coverage of hospital emergency department for management of facial traumas.

Outside the office, Dr. Chi enjoys variety of activities. Currently resides in Scotch Plains, New Jersey, he loves to travel, sightseeing, and experiences different cultures all around the world. He also delights in cooking and try different culinary dishes from various part of the country.
